Blown‑Film Processing

For mainstream blown‑film extrusion, temperature, pressure and other parameters shall be optimized according to equipment, film thickness and performance requirements.

‑ Processing Temperature: 150‑190 °C (from feed zone to die head). ‑ Blow‑up Ratio: Recommended range 2‑3. ‑ Film Thickness: Production range 30‑100 μm. ‑ Screw & Die: 40 mmφ LLD/LDPE dual‑purpose screw, matched with 75 mmφ die, die gap approx. 2 mm. ‑ Cooling Device: Dual‑lip air ring is recommended for better cooling and bubble stability.

General LLDPE Blown‑Film Precautions

Shear sensitivity: LLDPE has low shear sensitivity and keeps higher viscosity under shearing, making it slightly harder to process than LDPE with identical MFR. ‑ Equipment requirements: Extruder may need higher power, slightly higher melt temperature and pressure. Appropriately widen die gap to avoid excessive back‑pressure and melt fracture. ‑ Bubble stability: LLDPE bubble stability is inferior to LDPE. Dual‑lip air ring improves cooling and bubble stability. ‑ Blending for better processability: Many film producers blend LLDPE and LDPE (e.g. 50 % each) to optimize processability and raise production capacity.
